PPAI Joins Coalition In Letter to Senate Asking for 1099 Reporting Repeal
PPAI joined 50 other associations in the Coalition of Tax of Fairness in Tax Compliance (CFTC) in a letter to Sen. Mike Johanns in support of S. 3578, the Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act. The act helps small businesses by repealing an expensive and burdensome new tax paperwork requirement included in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Read more

Sasha Cohen was hired as marketing coordinator at St. Paul, Minnesota, supplier Crystal D (UPIC: CRYSTALD). She has two and a half years of experience in marketing and a background in communications. She will be responsible for external marketing. Emilia Fillmore was hired as an account manager for Crystal D. Fillmore will support the territory managers as they develop new business opportunities. Brent Larson was hired as a graphic artist in the art department for Crystal D. Larson has six years of production management experience and nine years experience as a graphic artist. He will be assisting the art department with technical and 3D art requirements. Jesse Pageant was hired as the production manager. Pageant is responsible for the production of all Crystal D awards and imprint processes. He has eight years experience working in a production environment and 10 years experience as a production manager.
Paula Gossett, MAS, has been named vice president of corporate sales for TeamIP, an amateur sports merchandiser based in Stuart, Florida, that is entering the promotional products business. She is an industry veteran with 25 years of experience and has served with various local, regional and national organizations, including the Gold Coast Promotional Products Association (GCPPA), the Regional Association Council (RAC), the Georgia Association of Promotional Products Professionals (GAPPP) and PPAI.
Lal Knight has been added to the sales team for Gardena, California, supplier CleggPromo (UPIC: CLEGG). His territory is Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana and Tennessee. Felix Romero also is a new sales team member for CleggPromo. His territory is Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Jennifer Windemuth has been appointed as North Central senior account managers for Garden Grove, California, supplier Evans Manufacturing Inc. (UPIC: EVANS.) She will represent Evans in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin. She is a board member of Promotional Professionals Association of Chicago (PPAChicago) and has worked on membership recruitment and running quarterly networking events.
