Breaking News In Memoriam: Glen R. Holt, MAS, CIP PPAI lifetime member and former PPAI board member Glen R. Holt, MAS, CIP, passed away early this morning in Scottsdale, Arizona, with his wife, Laura, and son, Tim, by his side. He was 76. Holt was president of Glen Holt International LTD in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Holt enjoyed a long and accomplished career in the industry starting with supplier HAZEL in 1960. He founded CERTIFIED MARKETING CONSULTANTS, LTD. in 1981, specializing in bringing new suppliers to the industry, mergers and acquisitions and executive referrals. He was co-founder of the Specialty Advertising Association of Arizona (AzPPA), vice chair of the board of Specialty Advertising Association International (now PPAI) from 1986-1990, served on the board of Promotional Products College Education Foundation and was inducted into the PPAI Hall of Fame in 1993. “We received very sad news today that Glen Holt, one of the industry’s finest and most capable leaders, passed away this morning after a long illness,” says PPAI President Steve Slagle, CAE. “Glen’s service to the industry gained him many deserving awards and accolades, and he was inducted into PPAI’s Hall of Fame in 1993. Glen will be missed by the many friends and colleagues whose lives he touched and influenced during a stellar career in this industry.” A celebration of Holt’s life is being planned and details will be available in Tuesday’s PPB Newslink.
